An adventure game based on the Russian folktale "Vasilisa the Beautiful". A scary story about the journey to the mistress of the forbidden forest for magical powers.

You will play as two characters: Vasilisa, who was sent at night by her stepmother to Baba Yaga for some fire, and her magic doll, which was given to Vasilisa by her late mother. The task of the doll is to help Vasilisa return from this journey alive and unharmed.

Together with Vasilisa you will go all the way from your home village to Baba Yaga's hut. Various obstacles await you along the way. Vasilisa will overcome some obstacles herself, but only a magic helping doll can overcome others.

GAME FEATURES

The game is based on unadapted versions of fairytales and folktales with elements of what is perceived in modern culture as horror.
The narrator reads the tale in a South Russian dialect. The story is told in the same manner as in Russian villages.
The soundtrack is an original piece based on folk songs from the central and southern parts of Russia.
The built-in encyclopaedia of folk tale characters, demonic creatures, household items, customs and rituals was compiled with the help of a consulting folklorist.
